Levels

Beginner and Intermediate Levels

The instructors infuse vocabulary and grammar lessons appropriate to each level, but the focus is on the practice of communication. Each class uses current events, news and magazine articles, hone formal presentation skills through PowerPoint assignments, and use audio/video/online and multimedia tools to interact with the language in many different ways.



We suggest that any student who has no knowledge of French consider a more traditional language instruction via Concordia’s Continuing Education courses.

Advanced Level: Thematic Workshops

This class is structured in a workshop-style format for advanced French speakers. Workshops are thematically structured, with two sessions per topic. Each workshop will cover a topic that provides tips and techniques for the business setting. Topics include, but are not limited to: Interviewing Techniques, CV/Resume and Cover letter writing, Modes of written communication (email, formal letters), Networking, Negotiating, Presentation Skills, and subtleties of Francophone business etiquette. All workshops are taught in French.
